Nicole Maines Signs With The Rosenzweig Group

EXCLUSIVE: Actress, author and activist Nicole Maines has signed with The Rosenzweig Group for management in all areas.

Maines made history through her portrayal of TV’s first transgender superhero in the series regular role of “Nia Nal/Dreamer” on the CW’s series Supergirl, a role she reprised on the Grant Guster-led The Flash for the network.

Most recently, Maines had a recurring role in the Showtime horror drama Yellowjackets‘ second season. She portrayed Lisa opposite Simone Kessell, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Ella Purnell and Tawny Cypress, among others. Her additional credits include the Freeform series Good Trouble and the lead role in the feature film Bit.

She will next be seen in Clean Slate for Amazon FreeVee alongside Laverne Cox and George Wallace. The TV series follows Henry (Wallace), an old-school and outspoken car wash owner, who is thrilled his estranged child is finally returning home to Alabama after 17 years. However, Henry has a lot of soul-searching to do when the child he thought was a son returns as the determined, proud, trans woman, Desiree (Cox).

Additionally, Maines’ coming-of-age memoir will be published by Penguin Random House later this year, titled It Gets Better…Except When It Gets Worse. In it, she tells the story of her journey from childhood in rural Maine to the spotlights of Hollywood, sharing the lessons she’s learned along the way. She was nominated last year for a group GLAAD Media Award for Oustanding Comic Book for Superman: Son of Kal-El.

She continues to be repped by Defining Artists and The Nord Group.
